Book Club: Lest Innocent Blood Be Shed by Philip Hallie

The Education Team invites you to join us in discussing Philip Hallie’s book Lest Innocent Blood Be Shed: The Story of the Village of Le Chambon and How Goodness Happened There. It’s the story of how the largely Protestant villagers of Le Chambon, under the eye of Nazi occupation, sheltered thousands of Jewish refugees as an act of their Christian faith. It explores how faith can give us courage to resist the powers of evil despite the great risks to ourselves. Some copies are available for free at the church office.
