What to Expect on Sunday Morning
We worship at 9:30 every Sunday morning.
We gather to experience God’s grace. We hear that grace as the stories of the Bible are interpreted in light of current events and applied to daily living. We taste grace in the bread and wine of Holy Communion. We touch grace in the gestures of welcome from the people gathered together.
Our worship service is liturgical, and lasts about an hour and a quarter. (Roman Catholic visitors find it very similar to the Mass.) Hymn singing is accompanied by organ and piano. We also have a voice choir and instrumentalists.
Children have a central place in worship. Although nursery care is available, children of all ages are encouraged to take part in the service. Pastor Keith invites children to reflect on the readings with him in a special children's time.
We have Communion every Sunday. All who have been baptized are welcome to the Lord’s Table for Communion.
After worship, we catch up with each other over a cup of coffee. From 11 to 12 during the school year, we have an education hour with Sunday School for Pre-K to 12th grade, and a Forum for adults.
Nursery care is available from 9:30 to 12:00 for children up to 3 years of age.
A recent visitor reflects on his Sunday morning experience at Redeemer in his blog post: My Journey Takes me to the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer.
