Gather with us for worship at 9:30 on Sunday mornings. Gather with us to experience God’s grace. Hear that grace as the stories of the Bible are interpreted in light of our daily lives. Taste that grace in the bread and wine of Holy Communion. And touch that grace as you rub shoulders with us, your imperfect but redeemed brothers and sisters in Christ.
Our worship service is liturgical, in a relaxed sort of way. We worship about an hour and a quarter. Traditional, contemporary, and global hymn singing is accompanied by organ and piano, and sometimes guitar. We also have a voice choir and instrumentalists. We often begin worship with an opening ritual that gets us ready to worship and then reach out to our world.
Children have a central place in worship. We have a nursery available, yet children of all ages are encouraged to take part in the service and we welcome their voices and wiggles! Children are invited to reflect on the Bible readings with the pastor right after the Gospel is read.
We have Communion every Sunday. All are welcome to the Lord’s Table for Communion. We serve wine and grape juice, as well as wheat and gluten free wafers. Children and adults can also receive water on their foreheads from the font to remember their baptism.
An important part of worship at Redeemer is the passing of the peace, where we greet one another with the peace of Christ. During this time we shake hands, or hug. We take the time to move around so that everyone is greeted!
After worship, we enjoy refreshments before moving into our education and/or activity hour for Pre-K to 12th grade, and a Forum for adults all beginning at 11:00.
